Lukas Dvorak-pacifist, scientist, and circus acrobat-is living his ideal life working as a research analyst for his enigmatic employer, Brooklyn Capital Management. This life is inexplicably turned upside down when he is abducted and accused of stealing $15 million from his employer.

Faced with a new and terrifying reality, Dvorak must rely on his own wits and resourcefulness developed from his past experiences as a refugee from war-torn Grozny, Chechnya and as a young immigrant in the United States beginning in the early 1990s.
